LITECYCLE / CAREERS / AI ENGINEER (MEDIOR)

AI Engineer (Medior)

You build AI applications that clients use every day. You discuss with them what's needed, write the software and make sure it keeps running reliably. You have at least three years of experience as a software engineer and have already built LLM applications that are in use.

Location: Antwerp · Hybrid Type: Full-time

Litecycle is an AI studio from Antwerp, founded in 2026. We help SMEs use AI in their day-to-day operations. Every quarter, we look together at which processes could work better, choose what to tackle and build the solution. Afterwards, we follow up on what works and where adjustments are needed.

01 / What you’ll do

  • You build applications that have to run in production: agents that process documents, handle emails, check case files and automate processes.
  • You talk to the people who do the work. You find out where they lose time and what a solution needs to be able to do.
  • You test the quality of your applications, handle errors and decide where human review is still needed.
  • You help employees use the applications and understand their limitations.
  • You develop reusable components we can use in future projects.

02 / Who you are

The most important part first, because that’s what we hire on:

  • Drive. You want to get things live and have a passion for putting the latest technology to work for clients.
  • Ownership. You see what needs doing and pick it up. When you’re stuck, you ask for help instead of searching on your own.
  • Ambition. You want to grow personally and keep getting better, and you want to help build our company.
  • Flexibility. The AI world changes every week. What you choose today, you might throw away tomorrow. You find that exciting rather than annoying.
  • Client focus and fun. You get energy from making an impact for clients. And you don’t take yourself too seriously.

And technically:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a software engineer, and you’ve already built LLM applications that people actually use.
  • Agents, orchestration, tool use and evals aren’t vague concepts to you.
  • You’re strong in Python. Whatever else is in the stack, you pick up quickly.
  • You work AI-native yourself and treat coding agents like colleagues.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English. You can clearly explain technical choices to someone without a technical background.

03 / What you get

  • A place in our growing team of experts, with a growth path you help shape.
  • Work that runs at clients within weeks, and clients you support for years.
  • Room to experiment with the latest models and tooling.
  • A competitive salary package.
  • A learning budget and colleagues who are just as curious as you are.

04 / How to apply

  1. A 30-minute introduction. We discuss your experience, what you’re looking for and how we work.
  2. A hands-on assignment of about six hours. You work on a concrete case.
  3. A review of your approach. You walk us through your solution and the trade-offs you made.
  4. A decision within two weeks.
